Take and share photos

Photos live in the Photos segment at the top of the Activity tab.

Nothing is visible to families until you publish it

Everything you upload starts as Internal Only, marked INT. Families see a photo only once it is published, when the badge changes to PUB. This is deliberate: it gives you a moment to check the photo before a parent sees it.

Add a photo or video

Use the icon buttons at the top of the Photos segment:

• the camera icon takes a photo
• the video camera icon records a video
• the upload icon picks from the device library, where you can select several at once

The app asks for camera permission the first time. Videos are capped at 60 seconds.

You get Photo uploaded, Video uploaded or N file(s) uploaded when it works, and Upload Failed when it does not — usually a weak signal. Try again somewhere with better reception.

Tag the children in a photo

Tagging is how a photo is filed against a child’s record.

1. Tap the photo, then Info.
2. Under Children, tap Add (or Edit if some are already tagged).
3. Tap each child in the list. It applies as you tap.

Classrooms works the same way.

Publish for families

For one photo: open it, tap Info, and use Publish on the visibility row.

For several at once: tap Select, tap the photos, then Publish in the bar at the bottom. You can also Tag Children, Tag Rooms or Delete from there.

Add a caption

Open the photo, tap Info, then Edit next to Caption. Write it for the family — “first time on the climbing frame”, not “IMG_0423”. Tap Save.

Delete

Open the photo, tap Info, scroll to Delete Media. It cannot be undone.

Before you publish

• Check every child in the frame is one whose family has agreed to photos. If you are not sure, ask your admin before publishing.
• Do not publish a photo that shows another family’s child incidentally, unless your facility’s policy allows it.
• Nothing in a photo should show a name label, a sign-in sheet or a screen with other children’s details.
