Inspection checklists
Compliance → Checklists holds your self-assessments. Each card shows its name, its state, the assessment date, a score and a status of Draft, In Progress or Completed.
Create one
Section titled “Create one”- Select New Checklist.
- Give it a Checklist Name — for example “Monthly Compliance Assessment”.
- Set the Assessment Date. The state is filled in from your facility address.
- Select Create Checklist. It opens straight away.
Fill it in
Section titled “Fill it in”- Select Generate Items from Regulations. This populates the checklist from your state’s regulations, grouped by category.
- For each item, choose one of Not Reviewed, Compliant, Non-Compliant, N/A or Needs Review.
- Add notes under an item. Notes save when you click away — there is no Save button.
- When you are done, select Complete Assessment.
The bar at the top shows N of M items reviewed. That is your progress, not your compliance score — the score is calculated separately and shown next to the status.
Do it honestly
Section titled “Do it honestly”The value of a self-assessment is the Non-Compliant items you find before an inspector does. A checklist of green ticks produced quickly tells you nothing and protects no one.
- Walk the building with it rather than filling it in at your desk.
- Use Needs Review when you are not sure rather than guessing Compliant.
- For each Non-Compliant item, raise a corrective action immediately, while the detail is fresh.
After completing
Section titled “After completing”Complete Assessment applies straight away with no confirmation, and the latest completed checklist appears on the compliance dashboard as Latest Inspection.
Deleting a checklist removes it and all of its items.
What it is not
Section titled “What it is not”The generated items come from the regulations Childcarious holds for your state, which may have been updated since they were last verified. This is a working tool, not an official inspection, and it does not replace your agency’s own checklist.
