Photos and videos
Photos & Media in the sidebar shows everything uploaded, with how many items you have and how much storage you are using.
Nothing reaches parents until you publish it
Section titled “Nothing reaches parents until you publish it”Every upload starts as Internal. Families see an item only once it is Published. Filter to Published to see exactly what is visible to parents right now — worth doing occasionally.
Upload
Section titled “Upload”Select Upload, then drag files in or Choose Files. JPG, PNG, MP4 and MOV are the stated formats, and you can select several at once.
Tag children and classrooms
Section titled “Tag children and classrooms”Open an item and use Tag child and Tag classroom, or select several items and use Tag Children / Tag Classrooms in the bar at the bottom.
Tagging files the photo against that child’s Gallery tab. It does not decide who can see it — publishing does that.
Publish
Section titled “Publish”- One item: hover it and use Publish for parents, or open it and use Publish for Parents.
- Several: Select, tick them, then Publish.
Unpublish takes an item back out of view.
Captions
Section titled “Captions”Open an item and use the pencil by Caption. Write it for a parent reading it that evening.
Delete
Section titled “Delete”Deleting a single item from the grid happens immediately, with no confirmation — the bin icon is next to the publish icon, so aim carefully. Bulk delete asks you to confirm, and deletion cannot be undone from the app.
Before you publish, every time
Section titled “Before you publish, every time”- Check every child in the frame. One child whose family has not agreed to photos is enough to make a photo unpublishable.
- Check the background for other children’s names, sign-in sheets and screens.
- Published means visible to parents at your facility. If you are unsure who exactly that includes, keep it internal and ask.
Storage
Section titled “Storage”The dashboard’s Storage card shows your usage against 50 GB. Video eats it quickly; delete what you do not need rather than waiting to run out.
