Register your child

Registration starts from a link your facility emails you. Opening it on your phone takes you into the form in the Childcarious app. You do not need an account to fill it in.

Use the link from the most recent email. Older links stop working.

The steps

Your facility chooses which steps apply, so you may see fewer than these:

1. Registration Details — your preferred start date, and whether the place is subsidised.
2. Child Information — your child’s name, date of birth, gender and home address.
3. Parent / Guardian Info — at least one adult. Add each one with Add Parent / Guardian, and set their pickup status to Authorized or Not Authorized.
4. Schedule — the days your child will attend, with drop-off and pick-up times. A day marked Facility closed cannot be selected.
5. Allergies — turn on My child has allergies and add each one with its severity. Put the emergency plan in the notes.
6. Medical Information — conditions and medications. Tick Administered by facility? for anything staff will give your child.
7. Immunizations — each vaccine and the date given.
8. Required Documents — upload what your facility asks for, by photo, from your library or from your files.
9. Consent & Acknowledgement — eight statements to read, then I Consent & Submit Registration.

Answers save as you go

Each step saves as you fill it in, so you can stop and come back to the same link later. If Next is greyed out, something required on that step is still empty — the form does not say which, so check the fields with a red asterisk.

Getting it right

• Enter the pickup status carefully. Anyone marked Authorized may collect your child.
• Allergies and their severity are what staff act on in a hurry. Be specific, and put the response — an EpiPen, for example — in the notes.
• Upload documents that are legible. A blurred immunisation record will come back to you.

Consent

There is no tick box. Tapping I Consent & Submit Registration is your agreement to all eight statements, so read them first. They cover accuracy, legal authority, health and safety, emergency care and data privacy.

After you submit

You see Registration Submitted! and your facility reviews it. They come back to you about a place — the app does not decide anything. Once your child is enrolled you get an invitation to create your parent account, unless you already have one.

Cancelling

Cancel registration at the top withdraws it and notifies the facility. Anything you have filled in is not submitted. This cannot be undone — you would need a fresh link to start again.
