Search and ask questions
Press ⌘K on a Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows anywhere in the web app, or click Search or ask a question… in the header.
Ask in plain English
Section titled “Ask in plain English”AI Search takes a question rather than keywords. The suggestions show the kind of thing it handles:
- Who are the staff members?
- Show me all classrooms
- When did the latest child enroll?
- What are the operating hours?
You can follow up — the conversation keeps its context, so “and last month?” works.
It reaches across children, staff, classrooms, attendance, registrations, invoices, incidents, messages, meals, medications, allergies, medical records, activities, photos, licenses, credentials and age groups.
Check the sources
Section titled “Check the sources”Every answer lists Sources with the kind of record each came from. Use them.
Search is a fast way to find something, not a system of record. Before you act on an answer — telling a parent a balance, reporting a number to a regulator, deciding a child’s medication — open the screen behind it and confirm. The same applies to anything you would put in writing.
What it will not do
Section titled “What it will not do”- It cannot change anything. It answers; it does not enrol, invoice or check anyone in.
- It only sees your own facility’s data.
- I couldn’t find anything matching your question. usually means the question was too broad or the data is not there. Name the child, the classroom or the month.
Parents have their own version
Section titled “Parents have their own version”The parent app’s Search tab answers the same way for their own children only. If a parent asks how it works, point them at Ask a question about your child.
