Message staff

The Messages tab lists your conversations with the facility, with a blue count on anything unread.

  1. Tap the + button at the bottom right.
  2. Type a Topic — what the message is about, such as “Schedule change” or “Allergy question”.
  3. If you have more than one child, choose About which child? (optional) or leave it on General. The line underneath tells you who will be able to reply:
    • a child selected — staff in that child’s classroom
    • General — all facility staff
  4. With a child selected, choose Who can see this thread?
    • All parents/guardians — every adult linked to that child
    • Only me & staff — other parents and guardians cannot see it
  5. Tap Start Thread, then write your message.

The visibility choice matters in separated families. If a thread should not be visible to the other parent or guardian, choose Only me & staff before you start — it is set when the thread is created.

Tap a conversation, type in the box at the bottom, and send with the arrow. You can see when staff are typing, and new messages arrive while you have the conversation open. Opening a conversation marks it read.

There is no way to attach a photo or a document to a message.

  • Staff reply during working hours, around caring for children. It is not instant messaging.
  • Never use messages for anything urgent. If your child needs something today — a pickup change, an illness, a collection by someone else — phone the facility.
  • You cannot choose an individual member of staff. You choose a topic and a child, and the facility decides who answers.

Message notifications are controlled by the Messages switch under Notifications in the More tab.
