Payment methods and autopay

ParentsParent app

Go to the More tab and tap Payment Methods, or Manage on the Billing screen.

  1. Tap Add Payment Method.
  2. A secure form opens inside the app. Fill in your card or bank details there and submit.

The form is Stripe’s, not ours. Your full card number is never stored by Childcarious — only the last four digits, so you can tell your methods apart.

  • A card is ready immediately: Payment method added successfully.
  • A bank account needs verifying: Bank account added. Verification may take 1-2 business days. You cannot pay with it until that finishes.

Each saved method has an autopay switch.

  • Autopay on — invoices are paid automatically on their due date.
  • Autopay off — you pay each invoice yourself.

Only one method can be on autopay. Turning it on for one turns it off for the others.

Before you turn it on, know what it means: invoices will be charged on their due date without asking you again. If you want to check invoices before they are paid, leave it off. If an invoice is wrong, raise it with your facility before the due date, because autopay will collect it.

Tap the bin icon on the method and confirm Remove.

If that method was on autopay, autopay stops with it — nothing moves to another method on its own. Add a replacement and turn autopay on again, or you may miss a due date.

Your card’s type and last four digits, a label, and whether it is the default or on autopay. Nothing else. The security note on the screen says the same: Payment information is securely stored by Stripe. We never store your full card numbers.

Could not initialize payment setup. The secure form could not start. Check your connection and try again; if it keeps failing, add the method at app.childcarious.com instead.

Your bank account is still unverified after a few days. Contact your facility — they can see the status on their side.
