ITERS is the counterpart to ECERS for classrooms serving children under about thirty months. It assesses the same broad domains, weighted toward the caregiving routines, safety, and responsive interaction that matter most for infants and toddlers.
Diapering, feeding, and sleep routines are scored in detail, which is why infant rooms keep more granular daily records than preschool rooms.
